Classical Acupuncture is an ancient form of medicine, with its roots dating back over 2000 years. This form of healing, at its inception, was developed by observing nature & mans relationship to nature. The yin yang symbol represents the two forces in the universe, & the dance, or relationship, between these two energies represents the foundation of Chinese Medical Theory.
Theres always the equal & opposite side to any given state: hot-cold, wet-dry, deep-superficial, & so on. HEALTH is not about attaining perfect balance between these two forces, but is viewed as the ability to adjust to CHANGE.
True FREEDOM, or true HEALTH, is about making PEACE between these opposites that are within us. The interplay of yin & yang is in constant movement. Disease is often created when stagnation, or blocks, which in some cases can be seen as the inability or resistance to change, interferes with this natural flow of life. When a block or wall is created, its helpful to remember that theres always the other side of the wall. The real obstacle is not seeing beyond the wall.
