Rachel MedSpa was founded in 2008 by Dr. Shai Shinhar and his wife Rachel, with the vision of providing high quality, cutting edge cosmetic and anti aging treatments in a friendly, intimate environment. Combining our vast experience in a wide variety of esthetic procedures with a commitment to superior service has enabled us to grow and build a successful Medical Spa. Shai Shinhar, M.D., is Board Certified in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastics, with a fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology from Children's Hospital of Michigan. He has worked for years with children with different facial and head and neck abnormalities and performs reconstructive surgeries. Dr. Shinhar has trained with some of the top reconstructive and cosmetic surgeons and specializes in minimally invasive procedures such as Botox, dermal fillers and sclerotherapy (treatment of veins). Dr. Shinhar personally performs all these procedures at Rachel MedSpa. He is an assistant professor at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, where he has his Pediatric Otolaryngology practice. Rachel Shinhar, CMA, completed her training as an Esthetician in Israel and Europe. She owned a very successful spa in Tel Aviv for several years before moving with Dr. Shinhar to the US. In Michigan, she was the head esthetician for the prestigious Tresses Salon and Spa in Grosse Point.She opened Rachel MedSpa after moving to New York in late 2007. Rachel specializes in advanced European techniques for treating various skin conditions, particularly acne and Rosecea, while providing a unique level of relaxation and pampering. She is also a certified electrologist, and specializes in Laser Hair Removal. Rachel customizes specific blends of skin care products from our superb line of physician strength formulas by Prescribed Solutions, which can only be found in selected Medical Spas. Rachel also performs chemical peels and other advanced skin treatments to provide clients with superb results.
