Mirelle Netelle Aesthetics requires that you cancel on Lifebooker within 1 day of your appointment time. If you fail to cancel within policy, you may be charged 50% of the service price.

If you fail to honor your appointment, you may be charged the full price of the service.

I absolutely love Mirelle, she makes you feel so comfortable and is truly a sweetheart. The wax she uses is amazing (honey based hard wax). I've gotten brazilians from a lot of different places (using blue wax, chocolate wax, regular wax) and by far this hurt less than anything else I've experienced. My skin was not irritated at all (which it usually is). As long as I am in NYC I will never go anywhere else for a wax!

I found Mirelle through Lifebooker--it was close to work, there were good reviews and there was a good deal on the wax. it was my first ever Brazillian and I read a lot of reviews to get an idea of what I was in for. I got to the place it said to buzz the number--I tried 3 times before someone let me in. once I got there, there was no one to greet me. I sat down and just waited. The place was really nice and I got there 30 minutes early. I was seen maybe 5 minutes early which is fine--I got there early like I said and I didn't mind waiting. I was led to a room that didn't actually have a bed but it was a heated mat set up on the floor. she told me to undress and to put on the provided underwear. She came back a few moments later and began. I found it awkward that she didn't wear gloves and she tried to make small talk which I just found obnoxious. the wax wasn't too bad- not as painful as I read it would be. but some spots were missed..I don't know if I'll go back to her. maybe I'll try somewhere else.

Mirelle was very nice! She gets down to business. I read other reviews online about what to expect when I got to the salon (she rents out a room at a hair salon, it isn't her own place) so that didn't throw me off when I arrived. The only thing I didn't like was that she double dips in the wax. I'm very conscious about this because it usually causes my skin to break out. Other than that, she was super quick.
