Julie was very sweet and understanding. I'm always nervous seeing a new stylist. I've had the same stylist in Westchester for about 4 years, but I've been living in Brooklyn for 3 years and thought it was about time I found someone in the city. I have REALLY curly hair that tends to frizz....

Julie was very sweet and understanding. I'm always nervous seeing a new stylist. I've had the same stylist in Westchester for about 4 years, but I've been living in Brooklyn for 3 years and thought it was about time I found someone in the city. I have REALLY curly hair that tends to frizz. We talked beforehand about what style I wanted and she walked me through all she planned on doing. I left the salon feeling a bit frizzy to be honest, I usually don't use a diffuser or have someone touching my hair so much as it's drying. I decided to wait to judge the cut until after I styled it to my preference. Hair is lighter, bouncier and the cut is PERFECT. She didn't push products, I actually asked her to make some recommendations. Lovely products. Thanks Julie!

Julie gave me the best hair cut I have possibly ever had. My hair is really thick and out of control, but Julie (The Hair Whisperer) whipped it into shape. On top of the great hair cut, she is also incredibly lovely and I could have chatted with her all afternoon. I am so happy I found her, I will definitely be going back! I wish I could give her 10 stars, but unfortunately that is not an option.

Had partial highlights today with Julie at Salon Santa Cruz. Salon is very cute, a nice peaceful loft with lovely pressed tin ceilings. Julie did an amazing job - perfectly blended highlights done masterfully and just the way I requested. Julie cuts the shape first wet, then cuts curls dry, using scissors to feather the ends. She listens well to what you want and is very accomodating. Good result.
