Jeffrey Stein Concept Salon `

In response to a previous review about the salon being closed the day of appt., I called this salon the day before to make sure of the appt. I had booked through Lifebooker. I'm glad I did since the appt. was not in their books but they were happy to see me the next day. The hospitality and generosity extended to the next day where I was unfortunately 20 minutes late to the appt. The stylist was very nice and it was no sweat, probably b/c business was slow but I was glad for the lack of snootiness here. On to the treatment. I received a Brazilian Keratin but after my hair was washed and I was waiting in the chair the stylist informed me that he had only 1/3 cup left of the treatment to put into my hair. But he said he could probably make it work. I was leaving on a 10-day vacation the next day so I did not want to reschedule. He worked fast and not all that carefully but I didn't care so much. He was friendly and chatty and we gossiped about celebrities which was fun. I told him I scheduled a hair cut with my usual stylist 2 hours later and he told me that my stylist should not clip or wash my hair. Okay. Then I get to my stylist and he asked what kind of stuff was put in to my hair and when I told him he informed me that I should not wash my hair for 3 days or else the product would not last. I just wish the Stein Salon guy had told me this since I was not use to that kind of precaution. I love my regular stylist. He's very meticulous and you can tell how much he cares about his work. I cannot say the same for the Stein Salon fella though he was very nice. After this experience and a few other discount Keratin treatments I will shell out for the full price of my regular stylist's Keratin treatments from now on.
